Volunteerism Month

Did you know that September is volunteerism month? I have no idea if this is a local, national, or international thing, but I had a great time watching the students kick it off!

These girls are so cute! 

Peace Corps Volunteers even got a shout out from the vice-mayor character. We got to interview him after the kick off. He's alright. I'm sort of indifferent to the local politics here. Basically, the mayor hires his administration who get to run the town when he's away. And of course he doesn't live here, so they're always running the town. 

Oh well, happy volunteerism!
